Protea France, was one of the first to develop an official French range of oak chips, staves, sticks or zigzags for œnology. With the development of a patented thermotreatment for oak chips, Protea provides an alternative to the barrel, making it possible to offer a range of aromatic products that are recognised worldwide for their quality and consistency.
In mastering the techniques of oak heating, extraction, or even concentration, Protea is able to advise companies that are renowned in the sectors of winemaking and spirits.

Our tanins are excellent antioxidants that stabilize the color of wines.

  • They have a structuring effect, without adding woodiness, while supporting the primary and secondary aromas of your wines.
  • Our tanins are soluble, so you will find no deposits in filters or at the bottom of tanks.
